Signature Programs
Opening Day Partners' teams are as unique as the communities they call home, yet there are a number of signature programs that we take pride in introducing to each of our markets. With a focus on fans—and our youngest fans in particular—each of these programs continues to grow in popularity.

ODP believes in encouraging young people to live active, healthy lives. That's why our company became the first organization to offer free admission to all kids who come to a game in ANY youth athletic league uniform. The various "Kids for Free" programs draw and average of 20,000 youth sports participants to each ODP facility every year.

Nothing more clearly speaks to the way in which our teams fit into their communities than our teams' names. That's why ODP initiates community-wide "Name the Team" contests, calling on all fans to cast their ballots for the name which best speaks to the character of their community.

It's camping—on some of the most pristine ground around! ODP teams have popularized Scout Sleepovers on professional baseball fields following select games each season. Hundreds of boy and girl scouts make camp in the outfield grass and enjoy a night under stars watching movies on our video boards, playing games throughout the ballpark and waking up to breakfast in the ballpark—often with players, coaches and mascots—the following morning.

With every ballpark hot dog sold at an ODP stadium, community non-profit groups benefit. Our Concessions Fundraising Programs have helped various groups raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. Volunteers from these groups who work in our concessions stands earn a portion of that night's food and beverage profit for their non-profit organization.

ODP teams annually organize Charity Jersey Auctions in which fans can bid on a specialty jersey worn by their favorite player. Following the game, the player signs the jersey and poses for a picture with the winning bidder. Creative jersey designs have ranged from the throwback (vintage Red Roses and White Roses jerseys in Lancaster and York, Pa. respectively) to the issue related (pink jerseys for breast cancer awareness) to wild and wacky (tie-dyed, Hawaiian, cow print and even football jerseys). These auctions routinely raise thousands of dollars for local charities.

Each team in the ODP family invites its youngest fans to participate in various Kids Clubs. These clubs help make minor league baseball even more affordable for young fans, often including free admission to 10-15 games in a season for a minimal membership fee. Kids also receive member-only gifts and are invited to member-only activities at the ballpark and with the team.

Kids not only receive free admission for being part of a youth sports team, they can take the field with the pros, too! Various Field of Dreams Teams at clubs in the ODP family give numerous Little League baseball and softball teams (as well as other sports and selected groups) the chance to take the field with the professional ballplayers for the national anthem.
